Dear Colchester Borough Council,
Summary says it all really, how many street lights are there in Colchester?

Yours faithfully,
Christopher Lee

Info, Colchester Borough Council

Dear Mr Lee

Thank you for your email.

Street lighting on adopted roads in Colchester is operated by Essex County Council. Further information, including a link (under 'Highway Problem?') to an interactive map showing the location of each lamp, is available at http://www.essexhighways.org/Transport-a... .

I have copied this reply to the Information Office of Essex County Council at [email address] as they may be able to provide the figure you request.

In addition to the lamps operated by Essex, some villages in the Borough also have street lighting provided by their parish council, details of which may be given on their website. Contact details for Parish Councils, including web addresses where available, are listed at http://www.colchester.gov.uk/parish .

The Borough Council lights only some parks, car parks and the grounds of some flats and other buildings they own or operate.

If you have any further questions or concerns regarding this request please contact me again quoting the reference 160211024591.

Yours sincerely
