How many Southend pupils achieved 303+ ranked by school?

We're waiting for A Howe to read a recent response and update the status.

Dear Consortium of Selective Schools in Essex,

Can you please provide a breakdown of the number of pupils from each school within the priority catchment area that:

a) Took the 11+
b) Achieved 303 or more
c) If possible can that be split into how many were boys and how many were girls?

Can you please provide that data for the 2019 test (for 2020 entry).

Yours faithfully,

Mrs A Howe

Dear SIF Admin,

Thank you for providing the attached breakdown, however this seems to only cover the schools in the Southend Borough. It is my understanding that there are other schools that also full into the catchment of the Southend Grammar's which have not been captured in your spreadsheet, an example of this would be the schools found in the SS5 postcode area - these fall under Rochford rather than Southend. Is it possible to get a breakdown of ALL schools in catchment? Is it also possible to obtain the figures for the incatchment Independent schools?

Yours sincerely,

A Howe

Thank you for your email of 14th November clarifying your original data
request dated 1st November.

You asked:

Thank you for providing the attached breakdown, however this seems to only
cover the schools in the Southend Borough.  It is my understanding that
there are other schools that also full into the catchment of the Southend
Grammar's which have not been captured in your spreadsheet, an example of
this would be the schools found in the SS5 postcode area - these fall
under Rochford rather than Southend.  Is it possible to get a breakdown of
ALL schools in catchment?  Is it also possible to obtain the figures for
the incatchment Independent schools?

Please find attached a spreadsheet showing the number of pupils attending
Essex Primary Schools and Independent Schools located within postcodes
SS0-SS9 where pupils: -

a) took the CSSE 2020 Entry 11+ Examination

b) achieved 303 or more

c) As requested, where appropriate, the information is split by gender.

When providing data in response to Freedom of Information requests, it is
necessary to balance the need to protect the individual (data subject's)
rights and the desire to make the information public. We will not release
data that could potentially identify individual candidates. At some of the
schools listed, a very low number of pupils took the test. As such, it is
possible that individual candidates may be identified. Where this is the
case we have not separated the numbers by gender and shown the data as a
total.

You may find it helpful to know that in total:

89 boys attending the schools listed, scored 303 and above.

98 girls attending the schools listed, scored 303 and above.
