How many reports were made to PSD via the anonymous "Break the Silence" mechanism

The request was partially successful.

Dear Sussex Police,

I would like to know how many internal reports were made using the "Break the Silence" internal software based app from staff and Officers between the date range of January 2018 and January 2020 to your department for professional standards.

I would like to know the breakdown by category of these reports and I would like to know the total number of reports that then escalated to an investigation beyond an exchange through the mailbox.

I would further like to know what number of these reports were then fully investigated with all line of enquiry explored in the report.

Yours faithfully,

Tom Johnson

Dear Tom,

Thank you for your request which was received by Sussex Police.

This request will be dealt with under the terms of the Freedom of Information Act 2000 and you will receive a response within the statutory timescale of 20 working days as defined by the Act, from the date of receipt. In some circumstances Sussex Police may be unable to achieve this deadline. If this is likely you will be informed and given a revised time-scale at the earliest opportunity.

Some requests may also require either full or partial transference to another public authority in order to answer your query in the fullest possible way. Again, you will be informed if this is the case.

Please Note:
Sussex Police are currently receiving a high volume of FOI requests at a time of reduced staffing levels to process them. Every effort is being made to comply with the statutory 20 working day response deadline but on occasions this may not be possible – we apologise for the inconvenience this may cause.

Yours sincerely

Dear Sussex Police,

I have not heard anything back from my FOI request and the response is delayed, do you have any update for me?

As I am sure you are aware, by law you should have responded to this promptly.
