You sent us a Freedom of Information request on 15/05/2019

Your request number is CRN00226888

Our reply to your request is:

 1. A list of all the external City Office partners;

The City Office has a stakeholder list that is constantly being added to (see attached spreadsheet for details) as people request to join the list.  Please note that names and contact details have been withheld from the document on the basis that section 40(2) of the Freedom of Information Act 2000 (FOIA) is engaged i.e. the redacted information constitutes personal data.

 1. How many people from all the external City Office partners listed, work or are placed or have a title at Bristol City Council?

There are no external City Office partners who hold a formal title at Bristol City Council. The attached spreadsheet lists the external partners who base themselves regularly within the City Office within City Hall.  They are not Bristol City Council employees and do not work for Bristol City Council and therefore in receipt of no salaries or expenses.

 1. Please list that by City Partner (for example, Partner X; 12 people; in Mayor's Office, etc.]

This is contained within the attached spreadsheet.

 1. Please list where each person works, within which department, and how long they have been placed there.

As above.

 1. Please provide details of who pays their salaries or expenses where that information is known.

As above.

This response should answer your request in full.

Dear Bristol City Council,

Many thanks for your reply and all your help.

Would you also be able to tell me for which external city partner the mayor's faith advisor works, please?

Yours faithfully,

Joanna Booth

Dear Bristol City Council,

You also list the Good Faith Partnership -- a social consultancy which works to help leaders in the worlds of faith, politics, business and charity work better together on common issues -- on the list of stakeholders but not on the list of people placed within the City office or in City Hall.

However, on the mayor's website, he talks about David Barclay being seconded to City Hall and that he will need a deputy who will work for three days a week.

The Good Faith Partnership is now looking to hire a Deputy Advisor to assist David in this work. ... The successful applicant will work for 3 days a week starting as soon as possible."

https://thebristolmayor.com/2018/05/23/g...

Can you confirm whether this organisation should be listed in the column <<One City Partners based within City Office on a regular basis (one day per week or more)>>?
Can you also confirm whether the mayor's Faith Advisor should also be in that second column?

Yours faithfully,

Joanna Booth

Your request number is CRN00231475

Our reply to your request is:

The column referred to in the spreadsheet provided was for ‘One City
Partners based within the City Office on a regular basis (one day per
week or more)’.

The Mayor has an Inclusion Advisor and a Deputy Inclusion Advisor,
both seconded to the Mayor’s Office from the Good Faith Partnership,
until May 2020. These posts are externally funded.

The role of ‘Faith Advisor’ to the Mayor has not existed since early
2018. The title ‘Faith Advisor’ is often applied to a city partner –
a representative of the churches who is not based within the City
Office on a regular basis.

Dear "Customer Relations Team" <[email address]>,

Thank you for your answer. With all my questions split over the last two emails, I think this question got lost [I've changed the verb tense to reflect the fact they no longer work there]:

Would you also be able to tell me for which external city partner the mayor's faith advisor worked, please?

Yours sincerely,

Joanna Booth

Hi Joanna

Apologies, this has been opened in error. " Would you also be able to tell me for which external city partner the mayor's faith advisor worked, please?" is logged under CRN00231472 and you should expect to receive a reply by 12.07.19.

As this is a duplicate, I will now close CRN00233715.

Kind regards
