How many of the major (over £50,000) National Lottery and Scratch card winners from November 1994-December 2020 share the same surname as the person who first validated the winning ticket?

How many of those cases where lottery and scratch card winners who shared the same surname as the first person who validated the winning ticket were investigated as possibly suspicious or cases of retailer fraud?

How many successful fraud by false representation prosecutions (if any) have been made by Camelot in regard to the national lottery and all scratch card games from November 1994 to December 2020?

How many of those prosecutions made by Camelot were detected by means of internal audit and/or internal investigation?

How many cases of retailer fraud were reported to Camelot by customers from November 1994 to December 2020?

How many of those cases of retailer fraud reported to Camelot by customers (1994-2020) were investigated?

Having completed a check of our records, I can confirm that the Commission does not hold information falling within the scope of your request.

The Commission has visibility of Camelot’s controls in respect of retailer fraud as the regulator of the National Lottery, undertaking periodic compliance work around this and is notified of some specific instances of fraud.

This information may be processed by Camelot as the operator of the National Lottery.
