How many KSI from Puffin crossings?

The request was successful.

Dear Department for Transport,

How many people have died or been seriously injured because they are unaware of the unusual, non-standard (compared to the entire rest of the world) design of puffin crossings, compared to the older pelican crossing?

Is there any evidence to show they are more dangerous or safer? For example, put a Puffin in and people start getting run over all the time?

If they are more dangerous, are they going to be phased out? If not, why not?

Yours faithfully,

Mr Batstone
