In response to a request of mine it was disclosed that Bernard Jenkin made 45 referrals in the year 2016/17:

https://www.whatdotheyknow.com/request/m...

Extract from request:

"Please see below a table containing the number of upheld, partly upheld, not held, resolved and discontinued investigations that were referred by Bernard Jenkin MP."

The figure provided for the year 2016/17 is 62. Assuming that all of his 45 referrals were concluded in 2016/17 (highly unlikely) this means that 17 of the total were referred in previous years. In each of the two years 2015/16 and 2014/15 he referred only 20.

Meant to say "about 20" instead of "only 20".

Thank you J. Roberts,

You have shown another example of what seems to be an utter farce behind the PHSO & Parliament. What a Pantomime? What a waste of public money & funds.

If Mr Jenkins and fellow MP's best regulated the Parliamentary Ombudsman and visa versa; then staff at the Ombudsman would be held accountable for the weekly maladministration and bizarre contradictions of data that are showcased on this citizen & volunteer-run-website.
