Thank you for your attached email received in our office on 29 March 2011.
The Council has a duty to respond 'promptly' to your request or no later
than 20 working days which in this case is 29 March 2011.

We are now able to release the following information;

1. What is the total number of complaints received by Swindon Borough
Council in which Cllr Stan Pajak was solely named, or named with others,
between 02/05/1985 and 28/02/2011?
Response - No detailed records are kept of informal complaints against
councillors. It is understood that formal complaints against Councillors
prior to 2000 would have been received by the Local Government Ombudsman
and that from that time until 2008, complaints against Councillors for
breach of the Members Code of Conduct were received by the Standards Board
for England. From 2008, such complaints have been received by the Borough
Council. Since 2008, no formal complaint has been received by Swindon
Borough Council referring to Cllr Pajak.
2. What is the total number of complaints received by the Sub Committee of
Swindon Borough Council's Standards Committee in which Cllr Stan Pajak was
solely named, or named with others, between02/05/1985 and 28/02/2011?
Response - The Assessment Sub-Committee of the Standards Committee of
Swindon Borough Council which receives complaints was established in 2008.
No complaints have been received by that Sub-Committee referring to Cllr
Pajak.
3. How many complaints naming Cllr Stan Pajak, (solely or with others),
did the Standards sub-committee subsequently refer to the Standards
Committee (proper) of Swindon Borough Council between 02/05/1985 and
28/02/2011?
