How many Cllr failed to register their interests by the due date.
Dear Cumbria County Council,
Following the County Council elections in June 2017 can the Monitoring Officer confirm how many Councillors failed to submit their register of interest within the period specified within the Act?
What actions were taken to remind members of their legal obligations to register their interests and can that correspondence whether by letter or email be published?
Yours faithfully,
C Schuse

Dear Cumbria County Council,
Please pass this on to the person who conducts Freedom of Information reviews.
I am writing to request an internal review of Cumbria County Council's handling of my FOI request 'How many Cllr failed to register their interests by the due date.'.
The response provided suggests that the County Council is not complying with its legal duties. Please confirm whether the Council has complied with the legal requirements, if you are unclear as to what they are please read on. Members are required by law to submit their register of interests within 28 days of election and update it thereafter. The suggestion that you do not hold the information is fraudulent and nonsensical. Either the answer is zero or another number - it cannot be that the information is not held. I require sight of the correspondence be that email or lettter or notes of telephone calls which was sent to Cllrs who had failed to register their interests within 28 days of election. Further unnecessary delay and avoidance will result in a complaint. Your haphazard approach to matters of governance is becoming a real worry.
