A very interesting response from the Greater Manchester West mental Health Trust that suggests that it or predecessor organisation (with the same employees) have never made a mistake ! This is very much the same image which is portrayed in the organisations monthly newsletter which is not real news it is a monthly propaganda publication that attempts to give an impression that the trust gets everything right all of the time. Well I can assure that it does not. There are many cases of misdiagnosis made by mental health trusts and the medications given to there patients cause more harm than they cure. If a person would claim that they were absolutely perfect and had never made a mistake ever they would be declared either delusional or a liar. I think this very much apples to the greater Manchester west mental health trust. At their Annual general meeting the key points were financial management and self congratulation. The Trust is in its reply making a blatant lie in its declaration of never making a single misdiagnosis, because there is at least one case of a patient suffering post traumatic stress and underlying Asperger being diagnosed as Schizophrenic and delusional. Now that a blatant lie has been published I would ask that the senior manager of the trust Mrs Bev Humphrey resign with immediate effect. Once she has done this maybe she herself should seek the attention of a psychologist to help her with her obvious difficulties with her delusional beliefs.

I agree that no public body can say it has never made a mistake.

I have complained to this Trust about misdiagnosis. Its response was that it had carried out a full investigation and the psychiatrists were right because they said they were. That is not a full investigation.

I suggest that the requester considers taking the matter further, as I am considering.
