Dear Department for Work and Pensions,
Can I take a job centre employee to court for lying to me about being sanctioned, making light of my illnesses and trying to dismiss my sick note?

Yours faithfully,

F

Couple of things you can do:

1. Write to the DWP and ask for a SAR (Subject Access request) of your data under the Data Protection 1998. Ask for letters, emails, notes, phone calls in every format from the date you became ill until today's date from the Job Centre staff and any other staff that has deal with your claim.

2. Make a formal Complaints to the job centre department and state you are complaining because the way you've been treated etc write as much as you can of the treatment you've receive from the dwp staff.

3. Inform them of the Equality Rights Act with regards to your illness they have to make provision that you cannot work and has shown them proof from your GP's sick note. seek help from CAB don't let them get away with it. You can ask through FOI for the SAR department and for the Complaints department so that you can make a SAR and make your complaints. SAR can be very beneficial sometimes the dwp staff gives in. I've suffered myself with the DWP it's illegal to make people ill to feeling suicidal.

Wish you all the best.

Hi I luckly found a way to take them to court.
Under the fraud act 2006 under section 2,3,4,6 you could take them to court with legal aid. You say you are feeling suicidal so you're more likely to get legal aid. Dont give up. Please search up fraud act 2006 and go to these sections. Everything's pretty simple and not in lawyer jargon. Wishing you the best. If you need any help feel free to contact me.
