How are you widening participation, increasing access and encouraging people from minority and disadvantaged backgrounds to consider or already be on the pathway to become surgeons?
Dear Royal College of Surgeons of England,
How are you widening participation, increasing access and encouraging people from minority and disadvantaged backgrounds to consider or already be on the pathway to become surgeons?
For example, a person or a specific group of people who are underrepresented in surgery (whether as a medical student or doctor or consultant, for example) with a protected characteristic, under the Equality Act 2010, or otherwise and or who is from a deprived socioeconomic background is thinking about a career as a surgeon or wants to become a surgeon and needs opportunities, funding and accessibility to get there.
Yours faithfully,
Miss Vivienne Taylor
