Dear Mr Chamberlain,
FOI request: FOI-433
Thank you for your request dated 05/09/2023
Our response is as follows:
a. How many households were on your housing waiting list on September 1,
2023?
It is not possible to report from the date requested. We have provided a
snapshot of the waiting list from 4th October 2023. This provides figures
for those on the Housing List with either a live or suspended status. For
clarification cases can have multiple rehousing list entries and so are
counted in each band. The band totals will not add up to the total value
shown at the bottom. The total of 28033 is a total count of applications
and only counts each case once irrelevant of how many rehousing list
entries it has.
Band Total
Accessible List 150
Band A 174
Band B1 3595
Band B2 854
Band C 26648
Sheltered Non-Priority Band 258
Sheltered Priority Band 55
Total 28036
b) How many households were in each band or category of the list?
Please refer to a) above.
c) What are the eligibility criteria for each band/category?
This information is exempt as the criteria to be accepted onto your
housing waiting list is reasonably accessible to you in accordance with
section 21(1) of the Act; which provides information is exempt, and
therefore does not have to be disclosed in response to a request, if it is
reasonably accessible to the applicant by other means.
Please use the links below which will provide you with the information you
have requested

The information you require is on page 17 of the document.
d) What is the minimum criteria to be accepted onto your housing waiting
list?
The minimum criteria on the housing register is Band C.
Band C is for all applicants on the housing register. Applicants in Band C
do not attract any priority and will be housed in date order from the date
their application was registered.
