Thank you for your request for information held by London Borough of
Lewisham. Please find below, a copy of your request and our response.

Please confirm how many households have been awarded Band 1 in the last 12
months for the above reason (regarding temporary accommodation coming to
an end)?

We had 188 pending notices for 'handbacks' (in which a temporary
accommodation is returned to the provider at the end of its lease period)
at the end of 2023/24 financial year, and 178 actual handbacks occurred
during that financial year.

This circumstance justifies an applicant moving to Band 1, but we are not
able to confirm that this was the outcome in all cases as our procurement
system does not link in a one-to-one manner to our housing register
system.
