Housing Stats

The request was partially successful.

Dear Renfrewshire Council,

I would like a breakdown of the number of houses owned by the council broken down by area, houses currently unleased, unleased due to repairs needing done.

I would also like the current number of people on the housing list, again broken down by area and what the current average time on the list is broken down by average types.

Yours faithfully,

Iain Cambridge

Please note that this request, as well as certain other requests
made to this site, has not been received at Renfrewshire Council's
e-mail address for FOI requests ([Renfrewshire Council request email], which is
available on the Council's web site). The applicant may wish to
re-send it.

Dear richard sharp,

No I don't wish to re-send it. I wish for my Freedom of Information request to be fulfilled. If Renfrewshire Council is refusing this request can you please be specific in that.

Yours sincerely,

Iain Cambridge

Dear Richard Sharp,

Are you not an employee of Renfrewshire Council? If you are then it has been received. Also the email that the FOI was sent to was the same which is advertised on the web site, [email address]. If this is wrong please update the web site. Also looking at previous Freedom Of Information requests, it seems you're the person who has been fulfilling them.

So can you either state your refusal to fulfil this request or fulfil it.

Yours faithfully,

Iain Cambridge

Renfrewshire Council

Dear Mr Cambridge,

Your last two e-mails have got through to my e-mail address, but, for the
avoidance of doubt, your request of 30 January was not received at the
Council's FOI address. I therefore had to go on to the web site to see
this request. I have alerted the site administrators to this issue as it
is their responsibility to update the web site.

Can you please clarify what you mean by 'broken down by area'? What is
your definition of area?

Thank you.

Dear Renfrewshire Council,

By broken down by area, my definition of area is the Housing departments definition of area. The areas that you are able to select on the housing application form.

Mr Cambridge

I write in response to your request received on 1 February 2012.

1/ A breakdown of number of houses owned by the Council

I attach a spreadsheet with the following information

* all houses owned by the Council which are currently let
* all houses owned by the Council which are currently empty but are
available for let
* all houses owned by the Council which are currently empty but are not
available for let (due to repairs or being demolished)

2/ Current number of people on the housing waiting list

I can confirm that we currently have 8393 housing applications.  This is
broken down as follows

2164 applicants from Johnstone area - (Johnstone. Linwood, Elderslie,
Kilbarchan, Howood, Houston, Bridge of Weir, Lochwinnoch etc)
1888 applicants from Renfrew area - (Renfrew, Inchinnan, Bishopton,
Erskine)
4341 applicants from Paisley area or anywhere outwith Renfrewshire (eg
Glasgow)

Q3 - Current average time on the waiting list

I can advise that we do no record this information so I can not answer
this question.

I trust that this information is of assistance.

Regards

Paul Houston
