Dear East Renfrewshire Council,

I am wondering if you could possibly give the following information from as a "Freedom of information" request.

1. How many people are currently on the waiting list for East Renfrewshire Housing waiting for a 3 bedroom property in total?
2. How many people are waiting on a 3 bedroom property in each separate area? Barrhead/Newton Mearns/Neilston/Eaglesham/Clarkston etc.
3. For each of the areas you have defined above, how many points are the people currently at the "top position" of the waiting list in possession of?
4. What is the average waiting time for a council accommodation in the whole area?

Yours faithfully,

3. For each of the areas you have defined above, how many points are the
people currently at the "top position" of the waiting list in possession
of?

Our current allocations system prioritises applicants based on a  group,
date order and points basis. This means that applicants in group 1 will be
considered, before moving to group 2 (if there are no applicants queueing
in group 1) and so on. These first 2 groups are generally homeless
households and those with special cases approved for moving therefore
points do not apply. Those in group 3, 4 and 5 will be prioritised bases
on medical award, date order and by points at time of running queue for a
relet. More information can be found on our allocations policy on our
website at the following link: [1]How we allocate our houses - East
Renfrewshire Council

4. What is the average waiting time for a council accommodation in the
whole area?

Based on those rehoused in the last financial year, the average waiting
time on the list was:

+------------------------------------------------------------------------+
|Relets 16/17 by Beds | 0| 1| 2| 3| 4|
|-----------------------------------------+-----+------+-----+-----+-----|
|Median Wait (Years) based on 16/17 Relets| 0.9| 0.95| 1.07| 3.56| 0.93|
+------------------------------------------------------------------------+
