Dear Cassandra Amma
Freedom of Information Act 2000
I am writing to ask you to please clarify your request as the service have
asked for additional detail as to the information you seek.
Please see the comments raised below in relation to your questions asked.
Q1, What is meant by successful? Please confirm.
Do you mean, only applications awarded a medical reasonable preference
(RP) and medical emergency priority or do you mean all assessed
applications given a medical decision of either an RP and those assessed
as no medical RP award?
Q2, We do not have reportable data on whether an application was awarded a
medical RP for either physical or mental impairment, without manual
retrieval of the information from individual case files. Please provide
any additional breakdown or refined specific scope which we may be able to
determine.
We will not be able to take this matter further without this extra
information from you. Please let us know by 20 November 2023.
If we do not hear from you within the timeframe provided, we shall take it
that you do not wish to pursue this request and will consider the request
closed.
Yours sincerely

Dear Newham Borough Council,
Please pass this on to the person who conducts Freedom of Information reviews.
I am writing to request an internal review of Newham Borough Council's handling of my FOI request 'Housing Medical Priority'.
Response to question 2 - it is disputed the the LBN does not have a breakdown of the 519 applicants awarded medical priority based on physical condition or mental condition.
LBN is committed to promoting equality of opportunity, good community relations and the prevention of all forms of unlawful discrimination.
The information should be made available to ensure applicants are treated fairly and one group is not being favoured over another for a medical reasonable preference.
A full history of my FOI request and all correspondence is available on the Internet at this address: https://www.whatdotheyknow.com/request/h...
Yours faithfully,
Miss Cassandra Amma
