We're waiting for Laura to read a recent response and update the status.

Dear Clare College, Cambridge,

This is a formal request under the Freedom of Information Act 2000.
Could you please provide:

1) A complete list of all land that the college owns, including its approximate value.
2) A complete list of all property the college directly owns and lets, including the approximate value of each.
3) The names of any letting agents the college uses when renting property.
4) A list of properties that the college has investments in, including the approximate value of each.
With regards to all of the above, could you please state whether the property/land is currently in use, and if so for what purpose.

If you are to invoke Section 43 to withhold information in relation to any of these questions please note you must provide details of the exact FOIA exemption, details of who would be prejudiced by this information, and a public interest test justifying a conclusion with arguments for and against the release of the information.

If you are to invoke Section 12 to withhold information in relation to any of these questions please provide details of how locating, retrieving and extracting this information would exceed the appropriate limit of £450 as set out in the Freedom of Information and Data Protection (Appropriate Limit and Fees) Regulations 2004. Please also be aware of your duty under section 16 (1) of the Act to advise and assist me in narrowing my request to bring it within the appropriate limit.

I refer to your e-mail below to the Bursar dated 31 August 2020. 
Regarding your request for information made under the Freedom of
Information Act 2000 see below for the response on behalf of Clare
College.

1)      A complete list of all land that the college owns, including its
approximate value.

See three documents attached.  In addition, in accordance with section 16
of the Act it may assist you to know that the College has published its
Asset Registers within its FOI Publication Scheme, which is available on
its website. 

2)      A complete list of all property the college directly owns and
lets, including the approximate value of each.

See answer to Question 1 above.

3)      The names of any letting agents the college uses when renting
property.

The College’s agents are Bidwells.

4)      A list of properties that the college has investments in,
including the approximate value of each.

See answer to Question 1 above.

With regards to all of the above, could you please state whether the
property/land is currently in use, and if so for what purpose.

See answer to Question 1 above.

If you are not satisfied with the outcome of the request please request an
internal review of the decision.  If, after following those procedures you
are still not satisfied with the way in which your request has been dealt
with you may apply directly to the Information Commissioner for a
decision.  Generally, the Commissioner will not entertain your complaint
unless you have exhausted any relevant internal review procedures.
