Housing enforcement revenue and expenditure

The request is waiting for clarification. If you are Michael Deas, please sign in to send a follow up message.

Dear Greenwich Borough Council,

I am writing under the terms of the Freedom of Information Act. I wish to request data about statistics regarding private rented sector enforcement activities undertaken by the council. I would like this information to be provided for each year in such a way that allows me to see how these statistics have changed over time.

For each year since 2018, I would like to know:

*the number of enforcement or environmental health officers employed assigned to duties related to the private rented sector

*the number of tenancy relations officers employed by the council

*the amount of revenue collected through licenses, fixed penalty notices and other enforcement action related to the private rented sector

*the budget allocated to expenditure on enforcement action related to the private rented sector

Yours faithfully,

Michael Dunkley

Dear Mr Dunkley

Freedom of Information request:  FOI-61640

Thank you for your Freedom of Information request.

We apologise for the delay in providing the response to your Freedom of
Information request. We do remain committed to responding to your request
and will respond as soon as we are able to do so.  However, the service
dealing with your request has just requested some clarification, as
follows;

Your original query was around "the number of enforcement or environmental
health officers employed assigned to duties related to the private rented
sector".  Please can you clarify if you mean officers solely dedicated to
enforcing legal duties as found under the Housing Act 2004 and associated
legislation as it applies to HMOs, or if you mean a wider legislative
perspective?

Ensure to quote the reference number in your reply.

If we have not received clarification within 2 months of this email, we
will close the request.

Yours sincerely,

David White
