Section 1 of the Freedom of Information Act 2000 provides two distinct but
related rights of access to information which impose corresponding duties
on public authorities.  These are:

 

o The duty to inform the applicant whether or not information is held by
the authority and, if so,
o The duty to communicate that information to the applicant.

 

Thank you for your request of 11 October 2018 for the following
information:

 

Can Redbridge rule out constructing buildings over 7 storeys at any site
built on by the Council Housing Company.

Your request has been considered.  Please find below the correspondence

The Council as Local Planning Authority, has not determined and does not
currently have any live planning applications for development by the
‘Council Housing Company’; Redbridge Living. 

 

Any future planning application(s) would be considered with due regard to
planning policy including the National Planning Policy Framework (2018),
London Plan and Redbridge Local Plan.  This would include consideration of
matters such as building heights and massing as part of any formal
planning assessment.  Each application would be considered on its
individual merits.
