3) What is the average waiting time for a 3 bedroom home for those in the B1 priority band?

Dear Ms Kendry

Freedom of Information request:  FOI-73754

Thank you for your request dated 16 June 2023.

Our response is as follows:

 1. How many people are currently in the priority band B1?

3589   people.

The figure is based on those on the Choice Based Lettings List with a Band
B1 live or suspended status. This is for all bedroom size requirements.

 2. How many people are currently in the priority band B1 who are eligible
for a 3 bedroom property?

1308 people.

The figure is based on those on the Choice Based Lettings List with a Band
B1 live or suspended status, The figure includes cases where a 3 bedroom
property is required in either the maximum or minimum bedroom need.

 3. What is the average waiting time for a 3 bedroom home for those in the
B1 priority band?

The average waiting time is 49.01 months.

The figure is based on lettings of Band B1 Royal Greenwich Residential and
Registered Social Landlord 3 bedroom properties of all types, including 2
bed parlour houses, during the period 1st April 2022 to 31st March 2023 to
Band B1 cases.

 4. Is there any priority given to those fleeing domestic abuse, with
young children and in refuges?

In line with the [1]Homelessness Code of Guidance, homeless applicants
have a priority need for accommodation if they are homeless as a result of
being a victim of domestic abuse.

In addition to a rehousing priority Band to homeless applicants with
children in a refuge fleeing DV, the Allocations Scheme also provides a
rehousing priority Band to applicants in a refuge with whom RBG has
entered into an agreement with via its Move On Protocol .
