IIb) Amount in GBP of payments made to claimants living in housing
association accommodation between 2014/2015;
III) Total amount paid out in Housing Benefit for the years
2014/2015.

Could I also have a full list of the landlords who receive payments from Glasgow City Council on their property that has occupants living in them? (same year)

Request under the Freedom of Information (Scotland) Act 2002

 

I refer to your email received on 11 November 2016 requesting that the
following information be provided to you:

 

“Could you please provide me with the following information with regards
to Housing Benefit;

 

I) Payments made to claimants living in private accommodation between
2014/2015;

Ia) Amount in GBP of payments made to claimants living in private
accommodation between 2014/2015;

II) Payments made to housing association tenants between 2014/2015;

IIb) Amount in GBP of payments made to claimants living in housing

association accommodation between 2014/2015;

III) Total amount paid out in Housing Benefit for the years

 2014/2015.

 

Could I also have a full list of the landlords who receive payments from
Glasgow City Council on their property that has occupants living in them?

The Council is treating your request as a request under the Freedom of
Information (Scotland) Act 2002.

 

The information requested is as follows.

 

I) Payments made to claimants living in private accommodation between
2014/2015;

 

Ø  21,323 claimants living in private accommodation were entitled to
Housing Benefit

 

Ia) Amount in GBP of payments made to claimants living in private
accommodation between 2014/2015

 

Ø  £ 80,300,472

 

I II) Payments made to housing association tenants between 2014/2015

 

Ø  80,252 claimants living in Housing Association accommodation were
entitled to Housing Benefit

 

Ib) Amount in GBP of payments made to claimants living in housing

association accommodation between 2014/2015

 

Ø  £ 258,832,367

 

 

III) Total amount paid out in Housing Benefit for the years

 2014/2015.

 

Ø  £ 339,132,839

 

Could I also have a full list of the landlords who receive payments from
Glasgow City Council on their property that has occupants living in them?

 

Ø  See attached spreadsheet. – Please note I have removed the names of
individual lanldlords as this would breach the principles of the Data
Protection Act

 

 

The Council accordingly feels that it has complied with your request.
Should you however, remain dissatisfied with the way Glasgow City Council
has dealt with your request you are entitled to require the Council to
review its decision. Please note that for a review to take place you must:

 

·         Lodge a written requirement for a review within 40 working days
of the date of this letter

·         Include a correspondence address and a description of the
original request and the reason why you are dissatisfied
