Dear London Councils,

1. Please could you sent the total number of successful applications for housing benefit which exceeded £500 per week in the following financial years:

2009/10

If possible, could you break these down into:

2.Single Claimants
3. Partners with no dependents under 16 years of age
4. Families (At least 1 Adult and 1 person under 16 Years of Age).

5. The percentage of total claims for housing benefit in your authority that are over £500 per week.

6. The average weekly housing benefit payment for your authority.

If there are any problems with cost, please answer as many as possible.

Yours faithfully,

Owen Davies
