Housing benefit
Dear Darlington Borough Council,
Please could I have the following broken down into the last 3 financial years 2010, 2011 and 2012.
How much did DBC spend (pay out, cost, call it what you will) on paying from DBC's accounts, Housing benefit to people who live in privatly owned rented accomodation?
How much did DBC spend (pay out, cost, call it what you will) on Housing benefit to people who live in council owned housing? (NOT to include external housing associations)
What percentage of the housing benefit budget broken down over these last 3 years goes to the following...
A, The privatly rented sector?
B, To yourselves DBC as social housing landlords (your own housing stock)?
Have DBC forseen and or budgeted for an increase in HB payments should many of its social tenents move out into more expensive privately rented accomodation due to the new "bedroom Tax"? if so what are the estimates?
How much revenue is DBC expecting to make in year one from the introduction of the "bedroom tax"?
Yours faithfully,
I. White
