Wilson-Copp, Jenny, Norwich City Council

Dear Mr Cowan

I am writing in response to your email received on 29 March 2011 regarding
housing arrears. You specifically asked 1) how many Norwich City Council
House clients are currently in rent arrears? And 2) what is the total
amount owed to Norwich City Council?

The amount of rent arrears owed at the end of the financial year 2010/11
was £1,177,837. This represents 2.04% of the gross annual debit. The
number of tenants owing more than two weeks' net rent was 3,728.

In providing you with this information I would like to draw your attention
to the Re-use of Public Sector Information Regulations 2005, which came
into force on the 1 July 2005. If you intend to re-use the information
provided, you must contact this department, as the Council may wish to
place conditions on how this information is used.

Yours sincerely

Jenny
