Thank you for your request for information about Refugees housed in
Plymouth. Your request was received on 28 August 2018 and is being dealt
with under the terms of the Freedom of Information Act 2000.

 

The Council will seek to provide the information you have requested within
20 working days, that is by 25 September 2018 and it will be provided by
email or hard copy, depending how you made your request and how the
information is held.

Thank you for your request for information dated 27 August 2018 concerning
refugees housed in Plymouth.

 

This request is being handled under the Freedom of Information Act 2000.

 

This letter is a full response to that application.

 

Your request was to be supplied with the following information:

How many refugees have now been housed in Plymouth over the last three
years to date?

 

Plymouth City Council participates in the Syrian Vulnerable Person’s
Resettlement Scheme - prior to July 2017 these individuals were resettled
under Humanitarian Protection. Post July 2017 families arriving through
this scheme have been resettled with refugee status. To date Plymouth City
Council has resettled 31 individuals with refugee status. Please contact
the Home Office should you require further data on those individuals
resettled prior to July 2017 who have applied to change their humanitarian
protection status to refugee status, or for any further data on Asylum
Seekers in Plymouth.

 

Plymouth City Council has not participated in any other schemes which have
resettled individuals with refugee status.
