Re: Request for information – Freedom of Information Act 2000 
 
Further  to  my  correspondence  of  29  November  2012,  please  find  attached  the  information 
you requested in relation to the following: 
 
1-  The  number  of  patients  discharged  from  Antrim  A&E  who  required  transport  in  an 
ambulance in 2011 and 2012. 
2-  The waiting times for each person from discharge to the arrival of the ambulance 
 
The Northern Health and Social Care Trust (NHSCT) does not record the reasons why 
ambulances were required in a format which is readily accessible; in order to retrieve it an 
extensive manual exercise would be required. As such, the Trust considers that the cost 
of retrieving the information would be above the ‘Appropriate Limit’, as defined by the 
Freedom of Information Act 2000 under Section 12(1), so it will not be possible to make this 
information available to you. 
 
Trust decisions in relation to the release of information that the Trust holds are governed by 
the Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) 2000, the Data Protection Act (DPA) 1998 and other 
pieces of associated legislation. 
 
The attached information has been supplied to you for your personal use under the Freedom
