Hospital plans

Gerald Rigler made this Freedom of Information request to Dorset County Council

This request has been closed to new correspondence from the public body. Contact us if you think it ought be re-opened.

The request was partially successful.

Dear Dorset County Council,

a judicial review of transformation proposals made by Dorset CCG shows thatrisks to local residents have not been properly appraised by Clinicians, amongst other things.

Why has the Council not referred the restructuring of Dorset hospitals to the Minister ?

Yours faithfully,

Gerald Rigler

Dear Mr Rigler,

Thank you for your Freedom of Information request.

It is not the responsibility of Dorset County Council to refer this matter
to the Minister for Health as the Dorset CCG does not report to us, and
likewise we do not oversee them.

The Dorset CCG reports to the NHS Commissioning Board, also known as NHS
England, therefore you will need to send this request to them. They are
also available via whatdotheyknow [1]here.

If you are not completely satisfied with our response, please contact us
again stating that you wish to submit an Internal Review (the first step
of the FOI appeals process). This will be dealt with by our Manager, who
does not get involved with the processing of FOI requests in order to
remain neutral. If your appeal is not resolved to your satisfaction, you
have the right to apply to the [2]Information Commissioner for a decision.

Yours sincerely,

Freedom of Information Team
