Dear UK Government Investments Limited,I asked BEIS this question"Dear Department for Business, Energy and Industrial Strategy,In Dec 2009 Pat McFadden wrote to Lord Arbuthnot stating the department view that Horizon is robust and Post Office prosecutions are a matter for them to oversee.When did the department first become aware of the number of SPM that were being prosecuted by POL and when did they decide it wasnt a matter to be left to Post Office to supervise?"They replied thus"Should you have further questions on matters relating to this Board,
you may wish to consider contacting UK Government Investment (UKGI) who represent the
Government on the Board."Can you say for each of
these events IF they prompted UKGI to challenge POL about SPM prosecutions.1)

Dear Freedom of Information,Thank you for a reply.If instead of did you challenge POL on these 4 points can you state that as a Department you were aware of them,thanks to your seat on the Board?Did you ask why POL prosecutions stopped in 2014?Did you ask why it took till 2022 for POL to allow SPM to dispute Horizon losses,sure they stopped prosecuting but they still demanded money"back" that the system believed was owed/Can you ask them to put an estimate on what that figure might be?I am aware that you have Sir Wyn's eye but we dont know how long the Company that you are sole shareholder of will derail his Inquiry so if you feel you can supply some details or documents,well thats better than POL are managing

Dear Freedom of Information,Thank you for a reply.By turning down the request because it is not a request for recorded information are you saying that the matters I have mentioned were not discussed,considered or explanations sought from POL?You never asked why the Post Office stopped prosecutions based on Horizon evidence and you didnt Inquire how SPM's could dispute Horizon losses?
