Dear Emily,
Freedom of Information Request Reference: 913399
Homeless Temporary Accomodation
Following my email of 24 September 2019 I can confirm that the Council
does hold the information you requested. However, we are withholding some
of the information in accordance with Section 12 of the Act, because it
would take in excess of 18 hours or would cost more than £450 to comply,
which exceeds the statutory appropriate limit.
We record each household under each accomodation placement they use. This
means that a report on households in temporary accomodation would include
approximately 2,000 records per year. If we assume each household had
three separate placements, this would equate to approximately 670 records
per year. We estimate it would take approximately 15 mins per record to
check and record details of each household, changes to family structure,
location, the type of accommodation and length of placement. This equates
to approximately 168 hours of work per year, and the request covers a
period of 8 years, making a total of 1,344 hours work.
Please note that the information supplied can be re-used in accordance
with the Open Government Licence. For further details please see:

request has been dealt with you can complain to the Information
Commissioner’s Office via their website:
