Homelessness temporary accommodation

We're waiting for Emily Thomas to read recent responses and update the status.

To Whom It May Concern,

I am writing to you requesting information under the Freedom of Information Act (2000), regarding the topic of homelessness in your area. The information that I require is as follows:

• What was the number of people in temporary accommodation organised by the council in each of the years from 2010-2018?
• How many of those in temporary accommodation were children in each of the years from 2010 to 2018?
• How many of those in temporary accommodation were children in each of the years from 2010-2018?
• What was the average length of time a family spent in temporary accommodation in each of the years from 2010-2018?
• How many people were placed in B&B accommodation in each of the years from 2010-2018?
• How many people were given temporary accommodation outside of the council area in each of the years from 2010-2018?
• How many children were given temporary accommodation outside the council area in each of the years from 2010-2018?
• What is the average cost per night paid by the council for temporary accommodation in each of the years from 2010-2018?

If you can identify any ways that my request could be refined, I would be grateful for any further advice and assistance.

Dear Emily Thomas

 

Further to my letter of 20 September 2019.  I can advise that the Council
does hold information falling within the terms of your request. The FOI
Act obliges me to respond to requests promptly, and in any case no later
than 20 working days after receiving your request

 

In your case I  apologise but I estimate that it will take an additional 7
days due to process, therefore I plan to let you have a response by 25
October 2019.  If it appears that it will take longer than this, I will
keep you informed.

 

If you are unhappy with the service you have received in relation to your
request and wish to request a review of our decision, please respond to
this email and I will pass it on to Mid Kent Legal Services to conduct a
review. Please ensure you outline your reasons for requesting a review.

 

If you are not content with the outcome of your complaint, you may apply
directly to the Information Commissioner for a decision.  Generally, the
ICO cannot make a decision unless you have exhausted the complaints
procedure provided by the Council.  The Information Commissioner can be

the year e.g. 31 March 2019 or a total for all the years.
