Your request is being dealt with under the terms of the Freedom of
Information Act 2000 and will be answered within twenty working days.

If appropriate, the information may be provided in paper copy, normal font
size. If you require alternative formats, e.g. language, audio, large
print, etc. then please let me know.

For your information, the Act defines a number of exemptions which may
prevent release of the information you have requested. There will be an
assessment and if any of the exemption categories apply then it will not
be released. You will be informed if this is the case.

If the information you request was obtained from or relates to a third
party then they may be consulted prior to a decision being taken on
whether or not to release the information to you.

In some cases there may a fee payable for the information requested. This
will be considered and you will be informed of the fee payable if this is
the case. In this event the fee must be paid before the information is
processed and released. The 20 day time limit for responses is put on hold

The figures include B&B Accommodation, Hostels, Other Temporary
Accommodation and Homelessness Administration. It is not possible to break
down the budgets as per the FOI request.

Response: Currently the furthest a household has been placed away has been
in Luton, which is 35.6 miles calculated from the council’s offices in
Kings Cross. Please see here for more information on the Council’s
response to welfare reform which includes detail on out of borough moves:

There is one household currently placed in Luton, a 2 parent, 3 child
household.

Response: There is no time limit on the period that households may spend
in temporary accommodation. They are able to bid for permanent social
housing in the same way as other reasonable preference groups included on
the council’s housing needs register or consider alternative housing
options such as housing in the private rented sector.

daily, weekly or monthly basis?
 
Response: Homeless households in temporary accommodation are not required
to report to the council
 
12.     When housed, do Asylum Seekers need to report to the council on a
daily, weekly or monthly basis?
 
Response: Camden Council does not house asylum seekers
 
13.     Are food vouchers or any other type of support provided to the
homeless?  Please provide details of support given.
 
Response: Homeless households have access to welfare benefits. They may
receive assistance from the Floating Support Service for any practical
difficulties they may have, if required.
 
14.     Are food vouchers or any other type of support provided to Asylum
Seekers?  Please provide details of support given.
 
Response: Camden Council does not house asylum seekers
