daily, weekly
or monthly basis? Applicants are expected to advise the Council
immediately of any changes in circumstances and where they are provided
with accommodation on a nighly basis, sign a occupancy sheet on a daily
basis. The Council also undertakes regular visits to inpect properties and
ensure that applicants are using it.

12.     When housed, do Asylum Seekers need to report to the council on a
daily,
weekly or monthly basis? N/A

13.     Are food vouchers or any other type of support provided to the
homeless? 
Please provide details of support given. No financial support is provided
to applicants. Applicants do receive support with completing benefit forms
and sign posting to relevant organisations

14.     Are food vouchers or any other type of support provided to Asylum
Seekers? 
Please provide details of support given. N/A-all asylum seekers are
referred to NASS

15.     What happens to homeless who exceed the maximum period of housing,
in
borough or out of borough? There is no maximum period of housing

16.      What happens to Asylum Seekers who exceed the maximum period of
housing,
in borough or out of borough? N/A

17.      Would the homeless eventually be given a council property, if so
in what time
frame? There is no Council housing in Merton, only housing association
homes. Homeless households are given reasonable preference on the
Council's waiting list for a housing association home or a private sector
home, whichever comes first.

18.     Would Asylum Seekers eventually be given a council property, if so
in what time
frame? N/A Asylum seekers are ineligible for a offer of social housing
under Part VI of the Housing Act 1996
