Homecare Services
Dear Bradford City Council,
I am trying to determine the homecare hourly rates for the various contract areas within Bradford.
Can you please be provide the 2019/2020 hourly rates for the homecare services within Bradford and the framework provider in each contract area. And how many hours allocated to each provider.
How many people are entitled to social care within the Bradford area?
How many of these are funded by the local authority?
How many get direct payment?
And what is the total cost Bradford pay out for domiciliary care.
Yours faithfully,
F Khan

Dear F Khan
I refer to your request dated 17^th August 2020 under the Freedom Of
Information Act asking to supply the below information.
The Council’s response is set out below:
1) Can you please provide the 2019/2020 hourly rates for the
homecare services within Bradford and the framework provider in each
contract area.
See attached spreadsheet.
Each locality area has an implementation plan where provider has either
mobilised to a position where they are now taking all new support packages
or in some cases prioritising them. The Council's assessment process
offers alternative support to the Locality Contract personal budgets i.e.
Direct Payment or Individual Service Fund. This has been a key factor when
offering a locality provider option to people (service user's) as they
also have the option to seek an organisation/personal assistant(s) of
their choice. This therefore influences the actual number of hours
specific to each provider in their area. As such the number of hours would
significantly reduce if a large number of people pursue a Direct Payment
or Individual Service fund.
2) How many people are entitled to social care within the Bradford
area? 6607 people
3) How many of these are funded by the local authority? 5581
4) How many get direct payment? 940
5) And what is the total cost Bradford pay out for domiciliary
care (excluding CCG lines) £23,882.5k
In accordance with the Freedom of Information Act, if you are not
satisfied with the reply to your request you can ask for a review. A
request for a review must be submitted within 40 working days by emailing
us at [1][Bradford City Council request email] or by writing to Corporate Information
Governance Team, City of Bradford Metropolitan District Council, City
Hall, Centenary Square, Bradford, BD1 1HY.
If you are still not satisfied with the outcome of the internal review you
have the right of appeal to the Information Commissioner who can be
contacted at: Information Commissioner’s Office, Wycliffe House, Water
Lane, Wilmslow, Cheshire, SK9 5AF
