home office Fedex bills unpaid

Waiting for an internal review by Home Office of their handling of this request.

Dear Home Office,

I understand technical difficulties have arisen with fedex at the Sheffield offices.

can you please provide all recorded information in regards to these current technical difficulties.

My sources outline unpaid accounts with fedex. How much does the home office currently owe fedex. When was the last invoice due to be paid. And how much was it for.

when are fedex likely to resume collections.

Yours faithfully,

R Lewis

Information Access, Home Office

Dear Mr Lewis,

Firstly I  apologize as I realise that it is very late to be asking for
clarification for this FOI request, however to process this properly I do
need some further details from you.

Secondly, you have indicated that you have a source that has provided you
with information outlining these difficulties.   If you could provide us
with some more details (i.e. invoice references, etc.) we will then be
able to conduct a more comprehensive search for this information.
Currently, we have been unable to find any issues involving FedEx Uk.

Be careful. .. America are throwing somebody inside for refusing to reveal their sources. ..

Dear Home Office,

31751

Let me begin with the fact that I am not a Mr. My name is Rebecca Lewis. You have responded to myself in the past to Freedom of Information requests. It appears a little sexist for you to assume that every request is originating from a male. If unsure of a persons sex, the correct manner in which to reply would be using their own signed name (in my case: "R. Lewis").

As for your request for clarification. My request for information was very clear.

"I understand technical difficulties have arisen with fedex at the Sheffield offices.

can you please provide all recorded information in regards to these current technical difficulties.

My sources outline unpaid accounts with fedex. How much does the home office currently owe fedex. When was the last invoice due to be paid. And how much was it for.

when are fedex likely to resume collections."

You have requested I supply invoice numbers. This is going a little beyond application of a clarification request. Even more considering that you have waited until the lastest possible opportunity to respond to myself.

So lets go through my request in order

"I understand technical difficulties have arisen with fedex at the Sheffield offices." - A statement refering to where my request arises.

"can you please provide all recorded information in regards to these current technical difficulties."
Question 1. Do you hold information in regards to technical difficulties with FedEx (UK or otherwise) at the Sheffield Offices? I assume from your message dated 16th June 2014 that you have conducted a full search of your information systems?

"My sources outline unpaid accounts with fedex." - A further statement. This information was provided by an employee to a visa applicant. Obviously, considering my further question's I do not have an invoice reference number.

"How much does the home office currently owe fedex. "
Question 2. I am sure that the Information Commissioner would consider you asking myself for an invoice to answer my Freedom of Information request to be a little excessive.

"When was the last invoice due to be paid."
Question 3. - As above. - Search for your last invoice from FedEx (UK or otherwise) which was issued to the Sheffield offices (or to the Home Office as an whole).

"And how much was it for."
Question 4. - As above.

"when are fedex likely to resume collections."
Question 5. - This ties into Question 1. If you cannot find information, then the likely information would be that you hold no information.

Can you please outline which question's you are currently having technical difficulties in answering - given the information above.

You can find the rest of my request on the 'What Do They Know?' website https://www.whatdotheyknow.com/request/h...

I would expect for you to answer at least questions two, three and four should not exceed a week. As for questions one and five. Do you hold the information?

Please review my request for information. I am absolutely disgusted that you origionally suggested responding outside of the twenty working day timelimit, and when corrected on this point, you requested clarification on the twentieth day.

Yours faithfully,

R Lewis

Rebecca,

I have been contacted to carry out a supplier statement reconciliation with regards to the outstanding debt but when I contacted Fedex I was sent the statement attached.

Can you please disclose a little more information with regards to the customer account number which has the outstanding value so that Fedex can provide me with the required information?

I look forward to your co-operation on this please.

May be worth ALSO making an FOI request to FedEx to ask them this information. HO refused to provide me with figures on the amount of money they have paid to Treasury Solicitors, on grounds that it would take them more than 24 hours of work to get this info (talk about bad money management of OUR funds), yet that info was provided promptly by T-Sol....following which HO was able to reconcile some of the numbers.

Dear supplier-reconciliations,

RE: 31751 - Is there a reason you are unwilling to supply the invoices requested?

Yours sincerely,

R Lewis

BritCits - FedEx doesn't fall under FOI legislation does it? T-SOL is wholey funded by public money, so there is a difference.

Rebecca - this is the most bizarre FOI request I have ever read - as a veteran requester - 79 is my current score, it is not the request that baffles me, but the response. The Home Office just gets curiouser and curiouser by the day. Don't be at all surprised if you find a white rabbit with a top hat running around these pages....
Technical difficulties usually means they don't have a clue, or are trying to hide something.
It took a County Court application for me to find out that the 'technical difficulties' they claimed prevented them from giving me a transcript I requested of a call I had with a Home Office employee, was non existent, and they finally managed to find the transcript after my court application went it.
So, not only are they totally incompetent, but they are also bound to mislead you if you want something they don't want to give you. Its all very Spooks......

Rebecca,

We have contacted Fedex and requested for further information to the invoices that you have mentioned and so far we have been informed by Fedex that only 2 invoices are currently outstanding.

I would be grateful if you can provide a customer account number that the other invoices relate to, so I can request for copies from Fedex.

I look forward to your co-operation on this.
