Dear Home Office,

Please pass this on to the person who conducts Freedom of Information reviews.

I am writing to request an internal review of the Home Office's handling of my FOI request 'Home Office Analytical Quality Assurance Board'.

A full history of my FOI request and all correspondence is available on the Internet at this address: https://www.whatdotheyknow.com/request/h...

I am seeking internal review of the Home Office's decision to withhold seven of the 10 most recent reviews conducted by the AQA Board. It is implausible that the disclosure of any of the information in those reviews would so jeopardise policy development such that the public interest weighs against disclosure. For example, disclosure of the name and purpose of a system that has been reviewed, in high-level terms, could not conceivably undermine the formulation or development of government policy. Where appropriate, redactions could be made to particular reviews to exclude any sensitive information, rather than refusing to disclose all seven reviews on a blanket basis.

Yours faithfully,

Jack Maxwell
