CONSULTATION, HomeEducation, Department for Education

Dear Mr Jones

Thank you for your FOI request. You requested:

I refer to the public consultation titled 'Home Education – Call for
Evidence and revised DfE guidance' which ran from from 10 April 2018 to 2
July 2018.

Please can you state:

1.    How many responses were received;

2.    How many of these responses  were from individuals;

3.    How many of these responses  were on behalf of  organisations?

I have dealt with your request under the Freedom of Information Act 2000.

The information is as follows:

The following responses were received:

Online: 2,987

Email: 274

Hard copy: 180

Of the online responses, 2,681 were from respondents identifying as
individuals, and 224 from those identifying as organisations. A further 82
respondents did not answer this question. It is not possible to identify
reliably the split between individuals and organisations for the responses
made in other formats, as there was no request for identification as
individual or organisation.
