Home education

Response to this request is long overdue. By law, under all circumstances, Swansea Council should have responded by now (details). You can complain by requesting an internal review.

Dear Swansea Council,

Under the terms of the Freedom of Information Act I would like to know:

Question One:
The number of persons in the local authority of compulsory school age who are, or claimed to be, electively home educated and who have been either suspected of or found to be involved in child abuse, child neglect, forced marriage, sexual exploitation or domestic servitude.

Question Two:
How many (if any) Serious Case Reviews or Joint Area Reviews have reported with respect to home educated children in the LA.

I would like findings covering the past ten years and including all children currently being educated at home. If that makes the request too expensive, then please advise me what timescale would keep my request within the funding restraints.

Yours faithfully,
Amelia Hill

Dear Ms Hill
I can confirm that we have already received a similar request from you
in an email on 5th November and are currently processing this request
before providing you with our response. Can you please confirm if this
is to replace that request or does the original request stand?

Regards

Rhodri
