I would like to make a request under the Freedom of information Act, 2000 regarding the Adult Social Care in Kent

1. How many packages of care do you commission currently on a weekly basis for Adult Social Care to private Domiciliary care providers.

2. The average number of weekly hours commissioned to private domiciliary care providers for Adult social care as of April 2020?
Please provide the total no of hours commissioned for the type of care below
Personal Care
Night Sleep-in
Night Awake
24 hours live-in

3. Current total number of care package requests for adult social care to provide services in the future.

4. Total no of service users with direct payments and their total hours.
When does the current framework ends?

5. Do you anticipate re-tendering each year so the new agency can participate? If so what time of the year.

6. Do you work with newly registered (less than 12 months) CQC care agencies? If so, how many newly registered CQC care agencies were selected (to commission adult social care packages) in your previous tender.

7. Type of agreement held with private domiciliary care providers such as spot contract, block contract and their start/end date.

8. Minimum and maximum rate paid to private domiciliary care providers for adult social care.

9. Are the commissioned providers required to use real time call monitoring currently and if so if there any particular software or system each provider must use?
Which geographical areas do you have capacity issues with currently and which area has the future demand for the services?

10. The names of the current providers commissioned to deliver adult social care.

Please note:

Section 1 of the Freedom of Information Act 2000 (FOIA) places two duties
on public authorities.  Unless exemptions apply, the first duty at Sec
(1)(a) is to confirm or deny whether the information specified in a
request is held.  The second duty at Sec (1)(b) is to disclose information
which is permitted to the public domain and that has been confirmed as
being held.  Where exemptions are relied upon s17 of FOIA requires that we
provide the requester with a notice which: a) states fact b) specifies
exemption(s) in question and c) states (if that would not otherwise be
apparent) why exemption applies.

 

Section 12 (1) of the Freedom of the Freedom of Information Act states
that a public authority is not obliged to:…. “comply with a request for
information if the authority estimates that the cost of complying with the
request would exceed the appropriate time limit of 18 hours of an officers
time to manually review records, retrieve and collate the data which we
are not obliged to do under the act if to do so would exceed the 18 hour
time limit.
