HMRC looking for 120 2:2 or higher Honours degree graduates.

The request was refused by HM Revenue and Customs.

Dear HM Revenue and Customs,

https://jobs.civilservice.gov.uk/company...

1) How many Local Compliance Enforcement and Compliance Tax Professionals did HMRC allow/encourage to leave HMRC under Surplus to Requirement etc schemes during the 4 years to the present date?

2) What was the financial cost to HMRC in severence packages etc?

3) How much will it cost HMRC to train the 120 Tax Professionals to reach the standard of those at 1 above?

Yours faithfully,

David Baker

Dear HM Revenue and Customs,

Section 10 Freedom of Information Act 2000

"Time for compliance with request

(1)Subject to subsections (2) and (3), a public authority must comply with section 1(1) promptly and in any event not later than the twentieth working day following the date of receipt."

The legal requirement is "PROMPTLY" with a caveat of "in any event not later than the twentieth working day following the date of receipt"

In the past, HMRC have been capable of acknowledging 100% FOIA requests via Whatdotheyknow within 1 working day of receipt, if not on the day of receipt.

What is preventing HMRC acknowledging this FOIA request in the previous timescale?

Yours faithfully,

David Baker
