HMO Register
Dear City of York Council,
I have now, for many months, attempted to obtain from you the statutorily required electronic copy of your HMO register. For ease of reference the law is articulated in this FOI from some years ago, but it seems after 20 years the Council still does not provide anything useful.

This is the model FOI please- I would like to be able to search both statutory and optional HMO details as described above- particularly by Ward and street name, also by number of bedrooms.
Now I note that the latest elaboration of the Cyc scheme we can search by postcode or put in a street name - this has specific but limited utility. Particularly looking strategically .
I also note people can buy now a hard copy but where is the free electronic copy that everyone else supplies? What is supplied as part of this newly available I assume hard copy?
May I also ask for a spreadsheet of the data points you maintain on the spreadsheet

You can search the register by postcode, licence number or address
details. Alternatively, if you select the address search function and type
‘York’ this will provide the list of licenced properties.
The link provided also explains how you can purchase an electronic copy of
the full register.
