FriedrichM, Angus Council

Dear Mr Pirie

Request for Information

Thank you for your request for information dated 7 May 2019 (received by
the Council on 8 May 2019) which has been passed to me for attention.

You have requested the following information:

(a) addresses of all Registered Residential HMO properties that are
within your council's area

(b) the maximum number of occupants that each property referred to in (a)
is licensed to hold

(c) the names of the owners/licence holders of those properties referred
to in (a)

Please share all the above in a word or excel format.

The information is proactively published by the council on its website in
the form of the Licensing Register at:
[1]https://www.angus.gov.uk/law_and_licensi...
.  Please choose the “Civic Licence” tab and select “HMO” which will
provide you with information on all current licences.  You will then be
able to copy the information into a spreadsheet or MS Word document.

With regard to your request to receive a listing in MS Word or spreadsheet
format I would advise that this information is not held by the council in
either format nor are we able to extract the information from the
council’s licensing system in that format.  In the circumstances, although
you are entitled (in terms of s 11 of FOISA) to request the information in
the format of your choosing, we have concluded that it would not be
reasonably practicable for the council to compile a spreadsheet from the
information which is already accessible to you in terms of s 25 of FOISA.

In compiling responses to information requests we invariably use
information which is routinely published on the [2]Council’s website or
through the council’s [3]Publication Scheme.  If you require further
information please first check that the information you want is not
routinely published as any such information is exempt from release in
terms of Section 25 of the Freedom of Information (Scotland) Act 2002 or
Regulation 6(1)(b) of the Environmental Information (Scotland) Regulations
2004.

I hope that this information is of some help to you. Please note that the
information contained in this reply is believed to be accurate as of
today's date (unless otherwise indicated) but no warranty is given.
Further, Angus Council does not accept liability for any loss, injury or
damage which arises from the use of the information contained in this
reply either by you or by any other party. Please refer to the information
set out below which explains your right to complain if you are unhappy
with how the Council has dealt with your request. If you have any queries,
please contact me on 01307 491992  or e-mail
[4][Angus Council request email]

Yours sincerely

Martin Friedrich
