Since 6th April 2017, how many convictions was the council aware of (in relation to its housing area) to which Chapter 4 (Rent Repayment Orders) of The Housing and Planning Act 2016 (HaPA) applied? These convictions should include any Civil Penalty Notice (CPN) issued by the council.

Of the convictions the council was aware of in answer to Q1, how many did the council consider for a Rent Repayment Order application by the council?
Q3]
Of the convictions the council was aware of in answer to Q1, for how many did the council make a Rent Repayment Order application?
Q4]
Does the council have a process for making the decision referred to in Q2], and if so, what is that process?

this may take more time. Complex enquiries may need to be referred to a
specialist team and take longer to answer, possibly up to 10 working days,
if this is the case we will contact you to explain what is happening with
your enquiry.
If we need more information from you to help us to answer your enquiry we
may contact you by telephone.

enquiries or 0300 300 0013 for waste, recycling and street care enquiries.

The council has not conducted any prosecutions in respect of Rent
Repayments Orders since 6th April 2017, although we did give guidance to a
group of students on how they themselves could apply for a RRO.
However, in respect of Civil Penalty Notices (CPNs) we in Private Sector
Housing issued the following number of CPNs:
2018/2019 - 0
2019/2020 - 3
2020/2021 – 1
2021/2022 – 0 so far
