HMO density by ward

The request was successful.

Dear Waltham Forest Borough Council,

Could you tell me the ward in Waltham Forest that has the highest density of HMOs, and what that density is as a percent of all properties in the ward, and how many properties are HMOs in that ward.

Yours faithfully,

P White

Dear Julia Morris,

Thanks for your response. Page 26 doesnt give me the answers, it doesn't give the density of properties in any ward. The % given is for a different stat.

I want to know which ward in Waltham Forest has the greatest density of HMOs as a percentage of all properties in that ward, and I want to know what that density is as a percentage.

Yours sincerely,

P White

Dear Mr White

The calculation that you require is contained within the evidence pack.

If you cross reference the data held on pages 21, 22 and 26 you will be
able to find the calculation.

For example, for Grove Green ward…

Page 22 data confirms that there are an estimated 3611 PRS properties that
represent 63.5% of the properties in that ward. Therefore 100% of
properties in Grove Green = 3611 divided by 63.5 x 100 = 5687 (rounded up)

Page 26 data confirms estimated 598 HMOs so overall density = 598 divided
by 5687 x 100 = 10.5%

Kind regards

Julia Morris
