Dear Her Majesty’s Inspector of Constabulary for Scotland,

Please detail when the current HMICS contract expires and whether the process to employ the new inspector has already been initiated.

Please also advise whether the current HMICS Derek Penman is still a member of Police Scotland and whether it will be possible for him to rejoin Police Scotland once his term as HMICS is complete.
