Thank you for your email of 22nd July 2018 requesting the following information:
Could you please supply the history and any other information you hold for the unique vehicle: Leyland
Daf Truck, 48KK24
Also the history, plus any documentation including manuals and any other information you hold for unit:
Container Machine Shop, 09TC52
I am treating your correspondence as a request for information under the Freedom of Information Act
(FOIA) 2000. Please find the information you requested regarding the unit Container Machine Shop in
the attachment.
Some of the information you have requested falls within the scope of the absolute exemptions provided
for at Section 21 (Information Reasonably Accessible to the Applicant by Other Means) and Section 40
(Personal Information) of the Act and has been withheld.
Section 21 has been applied to some of the information as it is already in the public domain. Section
40(2) has been applied to some of the information in order to protect personal information as governed
by the General Data Protection Regulation and the Data Protection Act 2018. Sections 21 and 40 are
absolute exemptions and there is therefore no requirement to consider the public interest in making a
decision to withhold the information.
Under Section 16 of the Act (Advice and Assistance) you may find it helpful to note that the MOD recently
published links to a copy of MERLIN 2.0 which will assist you in finding the history of Leyland Daf Truck
(48KK24). You can therefore access the MERLIN records through the following link,
