Dear Middlesbrough Council,

I would like to know what “non-traditional” mass house building projects have been built in your borough in the past, including those from the inter-war years and the post war years. I would like to know the house number, street, postcode and what type of construction they were/are, in an excel format. It does not matter if these have since been demolished or sold off, I am looking for historical records of what has been built.

“Several mass building projects for local authority houses were constructed using prefabricated or in-situ techniques such as concrete or steel and often had trade names such as Reema, Wates, Cornish etc. These are both pre and post war. Some of these types were subject to further investigation under the Housing Act 1985."

Yours faithfully,

Ben Gargett
