Dear Canal & River Trust,

Please treat this request for information as a request under the Freedom of Information Act 2000 and the Environmental Information Regulations 1998.

The minutes of the South West Regional Advisory Board meeting of 25th September 2019 state at item 6:

"Ed Helps reports little change currently in the levels of confrontation between
hire boaters and local boaters. This is having a negative on local hire boat
businesses and reducing the number of return visitors. Additionally, there appear
to be fewer new visitors to the area annually.
ACTION: Matthew Symonds and Matt Aymes to be invited to a future meeting to
discuss the situation on the western K&A in more detail".

Please provide the evidence submitted by Ed Helps to the South West Regional Advisory Board to substantiate his report of "little change currently in the levels of confrontation between hire boaters and local boaters" and to substantiate his report of "a negative effect on local hire boat businesses and a reduction in the number of return visitors".

Please also provide the minutes of the meeting to which Matthew Symonds and Matt Aymes were invited to "discuss the situation on the western K&A in more detail".

Thank you for contacting the Canal & River Trust with your request for information.

I am writing to confirm that the information you have requested is not held by the Canal & River Trust.

We do not have hold any evidence submitted by Ed Helps to the South West Regional Advisory Board to substantiate his report of "little change currently in the levels of confrontation between hire boaters and local boaters" and to substantiate his report of "a negative effect on local hire boat businesses and a reduction in the number of return visitors". The evidence from Ed was verbal and thus no material evidence was presented.

We also do not have details of the minutes of the meeting to which Matthew Symonds and Matt Aymes were invited to "discuss the situation on the western K&A in more detail" as this meeting has not yet been scheduled. When they do any areas of discussion / action will be minuted and subsequently available in the public domain.
