Dear C Daniels,

Freedom of Information Request: FOI 7630

Please find enclosed a response to your Freedom of Information Request.

1. How many applicants are currently on the Council's housing waiting list / housing register? - As of 07/6/22 924

2. How many applicants currently on the list have requested an affordable home ownership tenure property (as their sole preference or in addition to other tenures)? - 138 (interested in Low Cost home ownership)

3. Of the current applicants for affordable home ownership tenure properties:

They don't get to request what size property they want, their eligibilty is assessed in line with the housing allocations policy 2018 where we determine the amount of bedrooms required - I have given those figures below (we do have a question for those that would be interested in affordable home ownership to send them links to local agencies that offer this type of accommodation as currently we don't advertise this via our register)

a. How many have requested a 1-bedroom property? - 58
b. How many have requested a 2-bedroom property? - 43

4. How many applicants currently on the list have requested a social/affordable rented tenure property (as their sole preference or in addition to other tenures)? - Everyone applying to the register is applying for social/affordable - we don't run separate lists or currently advertised shared ownership or private rented so the answer would be 924
