Dear Hillingdon Borough Council,

I would like to make a request for information under the Freedom of Information Act (2000).
I would like information on licenses to keep wild, dangerous or exotic animals, issued by the Council under the 1976 Dangerous Wild Animals Act.

Can I please request information on:
1. How many applications have been made for licenses in the past five years? 2016 - 2020 (This can include renewals of the license)

2. How many licenses are currently issued?

3. For what species of animal have these licenses been issued, and how many of each species?

I am writing in response to your request for information under the Freedom
of Information Act 2000, received on 23/03/2021

Under the Freedom of Information Act 2000 we have 20 working days to
respond to your requests.  Therefore, the deadline for our response is
22/04/2021

I am writing in response to your request for information below. 

  

1. How many applications have been made for licenses in the past five
years? 2016 - 2020 (This can include renewals of the license)

The London Borough have 1 premise that holds a DWA Licence – they have
made applications in 2017 and 2019.

2. How many licenses are currently issued?

The London Borough of Hillingdon currently have 1 licence issued.

3. For what species of animal have these licenses been issued, and how
many of each species?

Due to the nature of this business (Live Animal Border Inspection Post
BIP), this facility is licensed to include all animals on the DWA
Schedule.

 

If you have any queries regarding this matter, please do not hesitate to
